This tool takes an IP address and tries a reverse lookup. If a host name is associated with the IP address entered, it will be returned.

In regard to computer networking, rDNS or reverse DNS lookup is the process of determining the host or host name associated with a given IP address or host address. Most often, computer networks such as the Internet use the DNS or Domain Name System to determine what IP address is associated with a host name. The reverse of this process is accomplished using a "reverse IN-ADDR entry" in the form of a PTR record.
